Plate of Brass is composed of macro shots of printed thermal receipts. The texts on the receipts are fictional call records produced by an LLM tasked with retrieving “memories” of documents held at UC Berkeley’s Bancroft Library, accessed by the artists as they trace the semiotic and metallurgical forgery of ︎︎︎Drake’s Plate of Brass.
